Blue Earth Capital ® is owned by the Blue Earth Foundation, a Swiss Stiftung (charity/trust) focusing on deep impact to support initiatives and business ventures to help deliver a more equitable and sustainable future. Blue Earth Capital’s profits, including carried interest, are employed by the Blue Earth Foundation, to support deep impact initiatives.
This ‘end-to-end’ approach acts as an impact multiplier, enabling us to leverage our investment returns for additional non-financial returns.
Our history
Leveraging more than 15 years of impact investing experience
Blue Earth Capital is an independent global impact investment firm headquartered in Zug, Switzerland with operations in New York, London, Konstanz, Guernsey, and Luxembourg.
Our origin dates back to 2006, when Partners Group established its employee-backed foundation PG Impact in the wake of the 2004 Indian Ocean Tsunami. In 2015, Blue Earth Capital was initiated by Urs Wietlisbach and built up with the support of Partners Group. BlueEarth is backed by the Ursimone Wietlisbach Foundation and fully owned by the Blue Earth Foundation.
