Celia Wong
Member of the Investment Committee (Private Credit)
Celia Wong brings over 20 years of market experience in raising, structuring and managing capital from US and European institutional and private investors. Celia was most recently the head of Kiva Capital, the asset management unit of the impact crowdfunding platform Kiva. During her time at Kiva, she has led new initiatives including the development of gender equity investment strategies with the support of USAID. Prior to Kiva, she served as a principal portfolio manager of the Deutsche Bank/DWS Sustainable Investments funds, and oversaw the fund formation and investment portfolios in microfinance institutions, financial services companies and social enterprises across developing countries.
In addition to impact investments, her financial market experiences included emerging markets credit trading, structured credits, and fixed income and credit portfolio management in both public and private markets at Shinsei Bank and Credit Suisse. Celia graduated from the University of British Columbia with a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, and holds an M.Eng from Cornell University. She is a CFA charter holder.
